Dave and Karen are a married couple who have chosen to take their retirement and move to Spain. Yes, retirement, but an early retirement. Dave has served 30 years of public service with the Hampshire Constabulary and the latter years of his service were spent as a Traffic Motorcyclist, his first love being motorcycles.

Karen was serving with Her Majesty’s Prison Service until May of 2004 when she decided
after many years of work within security it was also time to try some ‘manana'.
Six years ago Karen took a ‘direct access’ motorcycle course, which she successfully completed.
After a short period with a 500cc Honda Silver Wing she progressed to a Moto Guzzi 1100cc California
and then to a Kawasaki VN ‘Nomad’ 1500cc tourer.

Dave has been the owner of several machines but fell in love with Honda Goldwings
of which he now the proud owner of his third, a 1500cc.
Between them, Dave and Karen have travelled many thousands of miles touring on their bikes both in the
UK and abroad. Both have been members of the Honda Goldwing Owners Club for seven years joining the
Spanish branch when they finally moved to Spain.

On moving to Spain their dream was to start a camp site dedicated to motorcyclists ONLY.
The reasoning behind this unique idea came from the years of touring
where many camp sites treat touring motorcyclists differently,
not at the Alicante Bike Camp where you will be given a ‘bikers welcome’, your bike will be safe and sound
and you will have the opportunity to meet other dedicated tourers who find two wheels more comfortable than four.
You will also find that the facilities are specifically designed for the touring biker.
