| This ride provides relaxed minor road
riding through a number of local villages and hamlets.
The monastery is the highlight of the ride before you go on to the main Madrid road heading towards Alicante. You really need to allocate maybe 45 minutes at a minimum to see the views and the unique cave chapel. At Alcoraya you can stop for lunch or just for a drink in the unique village where cave houses abound. After relaxing you will drive back through the small hamlets of Canada and Moralet before getting back on to the Agost road. On the Agost road you will see two pottery shops where it is very easy to empty your bank account. The prices are excellent and the range of goods is amazing. Remember they close between 2 and 5pm but are open until 8:00pm |
The points of interest in this ride are the monastery which overlooks the entire area. On a clear day you can see from Benidorm to Torreivaca, from Alicante to Ibi and all the little villages in between. The ride provides for a lunch or refreshment point in the village of La Alcoraya at Bar La Cueva (Cave bar) where you can sample local food, Mexican, Tapas and even a traditional paella cooked the true Valencian way. If you want a Paella please ask us to make a booking for you. Don't worry about arriving exactly on time...its flexible in Spain. |
